The Book Everyday by David
Levithan, is about A, a 16 year old boy, who doesn't live in his own body. Each
day A wakes up in a new person, not knowing who he or she is. Most of his days
are boring until he meets Rhiannon, the girlfriend of the boy he is that day
(Justin). When they meet everything changes and A falls in love with Rhiannon
but he realizes that their relationship can only last him one day. From that
day on A meets up with Rhiannon almost every day but at first she doesn't know
it.The main character A, has always had
to let go of people but when he meets Rhiannon he doesn't want to leave her
side. He feels like he must see her even if it gets the body he is in, into
trouble and even causes problems to A. Rhiannon accepts A and they face each
day not knowing what will happen.
Rhiannon develops and changes throughout the
book. At the beginning of the book, she meet A as Justin, her boyfriend,
so she was close to him but A could feel a connection as well. Her reaction to
A was sharp and she could not handle it and thought he was crazy. She did not
want to get close to him or accept him for who he was; but as the days go on,
A, as a person meets Rhiannon and they realize each other for who they really
are. She acts too fast and moves too quickly in her relationship but he
wants to take it one step at a time. She tries hard and does her best even
when it is difficult. Rhiannon realizes that not everything is as it seems and not everyone can be judged by how they look.
